Career Options On-Line (COOL) is the Business Career Centre’s online recruitment system. It enables employers to easily post and manage job opportunities online, free of charge. COOL is used by leading local and global organizations to connect with over 4,000 UBC Sauder students and 39,000 UBC Sauder alumni.

Hiring in 4 easy steps:


    • Visit COOL to register
    • Fill in your company and contact information and submit
      Use your business email address. If there are issues with your account, this is our primary way of reaching out to assist you.

    Your registration will be processed for approval within 2 business days for you to start posting jobs!

    • Select the type of position
      ex: MBA Internship, Co-op Work Term, Permanent Full-Time
      Review the recruiting calendar to see the best times to recruit Sauder students and alumni. 
    • Target your position 
      Select the student groups that meet your hiring criteria. Review class profiles to learn about the different student groups and determine which one(s) suits your hiring needs.
    • Write a detailed job description
      View a sample job posting (PDF)
    • Post job on COOL

    Your job posting will be reviewed and approved within 2 business days. You will receive an email confirming that the position has been posted.

  • Select your preferred application submission process:

    • Email application submission
      Applications are emailed to you as students apply.
    • Online accumulation
      All applications will be emailed to you in a single PDF file after the job posting expires.
    • Employer collection
      You can instruct applicants to apply directly on your website.
  • Select your preferred interview process:

    • On-campus
      We assist you in scheduling and hosting interviews on campus, at no charge.
    • Off-campus
      You can arrange interviews to take place at your office.
    • Telephone/Skype
      Phone and Skype interviews are ideal for hiring abroad.
