CPD 166: Beyond the Numbers – The Human Element of Appraisal

Pre-requisite: None.

This course develops a clear understanding of how ethical principles, professional standards, and safety considerations guide effective and responsible appraisal work. Through real world scenarios and practical examples, you will examine ethical risks, navigate complex valuation situations, and apply trauma informed and tactful communication strategies in interactions with clients and property occupants. The course also builds awareness of environmental, physical, and human related hazards encountered during site visits, emphasizing sound judgment in determining when inspections should proceed, be modified, or be declined. By integrating ethical reasoning, professional conduct, and emotional awareness, this course will prepare you to deliver appraisal services with competence, integrity, and resilience, even in high pressure or sensitive situations.
