Supporting our students

We are living in extraordinary times and our daily lives have changed considerably. Although the global health crisis affects us all, we know that students are among those most impacted. Many students are facing significant challenges as they deal with disruption to their studies, loss of employment, mental health issues, and financial hardship.

The UBC Sauder community is resilient and we’re joining together to overcome these challenges. Here are some ways that you can make an impact.

Share words of encouragement

We’re calling on our supportive alumni community to share messages of positivity and encouragement with our students. Do you have advice for new grads? Do you know what it’s like to go through a challenging time? Perhaps you are a master at online courses? Or you would like to simply share a warm message of support. We invite you to share a text or video message with UBC Sauder students to let them know they are not alone.

Send us a direct message on your social platform of choice or via email.*

Give to the UBC Sauder Pandemic Recovery Fund

We have established the UBC Sauder Pandemic Recovery Fund to provide urgent financial relief for undergraduate and graduate students. Funds are being directed to the area of greatest need, allowing the school to act quickly to address the top concerns of our students.

For example, your donation may support internships, co-op placements and summer work terms to help UBC Sauder students complete their program requirements and avoid delays in their studies. It may also support bursaries to meet an expected increase in financial need.

Your gift to the UBC Sauder Pandemic Recovery Fund will support students who face difficulties they could never have anticipated. Please join us as we address these challenges together.
