UBC Master of Business Analytics

Curriculum

Your path to success

Over the course of twelve months, the UBC MBAN will equip you to thrive in today’s – and tomorrow’s – data-driven world. You’ll gain the technical knowledge needed to analyze different types of data sets effectively through courses like Advanced Predictive Business Analytics and Decision Analysis Under Uncertainty.

Students gain a deep understanding of the expansive business context with classes like Supply Chain Management and Data Driven Marketing. In other words, these twelve months will give you unparalleled analytical decision-making skills.

Program goals

All UBC MBAN candidates participate in a 4-month internship where you will consult on an analytical challenge faced by a partner company or non-profit organization. There are two main internship streams that students can apply for: an analytics research project supervised by UBC Sauder's renowned Centre for Operations Excellence or a traditional internship contributing to an analytics project onsite at a partner company in Vancouver. Past industry partners include TELUS, Boeing Vancouver, and Fraser Health Authority.
