CURRICULUM
Career tracks
MBA students choose one of four specialized career tracks – Consulting and Strategic Management, Finance, Product/Service Management, and Business Innovation. These tracks are designed to equip you with the advanced business skills you need to build a successful career in today’s global economy.
CAREER TRACKS
E-portfolio
From the start of your program, when you meet your personalized leadership coach and receive your 360-degree leadership profile, you will document your goals via an e-portfolio. By graduation time you’ll have an impressive body of work and unique professional identity ready to impress future employers.
Business Clinics
Keep pace with the market during your MBA. Balance theory and practice as you offer pro-bono consulting for real clients at Sauder’s Business Clinics. You could offer insights to a start-up, make a supply chain more efficient, or provide a non profit with big ideas to make a difference. You could even contribute to the global expansion of a multinational organization.
Global Immersion
Working with your counterparts from local business schools, you’ll consult for successful companies on a mandatory project in Shanghai, Bangalore or Copenhagen. Gather first-hand knowledge about the culture and commerce of another country, and develop the confidence to work in the global marketplace.
International Exchange
Study business in one of our 35 partner schools around the world. Learn new skills; understand different attitudes and absorb life in another culture. International Exchange is your passport to a global perspective.
INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE
Experiential Learning
A highlight of the UBC MBA program is the summer experiential learning component. Get hands-on experience pursuing an internship, entrepreneurial project or team consulting project, where you can bring cutting-edge knowledge to live business problems.
Capstone - Grand Finale
A program highlight, the Capstone – Grand Finale provides a final week of integration that brings together business speakers and live cases for students to recommend real business solutions. The week culminates in a celebration gala and dinner.
