The Centre for Urban Economics and Real Estate supports research and education in real estate and urban economics at UBC. Research covers theoretical issues and applied problems and is shared through academic seminars and publications.
We also actively work to integrate the academic work of UBC students with the professional community through internships and targeted research papers, as well as sponsoring events to present the academic community's knowledge to the professional community. Our current activities include the Grosvenor Summer Undergraduate Internship in Real Estate, regularly updated data on Canadian metropolitan area real estate markets, a summer international research symposium, and a professional roundtable.
A lot of business leaders are really good people and each and everyday they are faced with very complex issues. It is my belief that the centre will provide the tools that these leaders need to make ethical decisions. That's my belief and where I want to make a meaningful impact.
