Mortgage Professionals Canada (MPC), in partnership with the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia, are proud to offer MPC members three new national educational designation programs.
Mortgage Professionals Canada’s Designation Programs are comprehensive designation programs designed to help MPC members enhance their industry knowledge, improve their technical and management skills, and instill confidence with consumers and industry colleagues.
There are three individual designation programs:
- Level 1: The Accredited Mortgage Professional of Canada (AMPC) Designation Program
- Level 2: The Preferred Mortgage Professional of Canada (PMPC) Designation Program
- Level 3: The Expert Mortgage Professional of Canada (EMPC) Designation Program
Registration for the AMPC Designation Program is now available and can be done below. The PMPC and EMPC Designation Programs are currently in development and will be introduced in due course. Note that there are additional eligibility criteria beyond the completion of a Designation Program to obtain the AMPC, PMPC, or EMPC designation.
Once obtained, designation holders will be required to maintain currency of their designation level by annually completing a required education course, provided by MPC. There will also be an additional minimum number of hours of Continuing Education (CE) completed, through courses or seminars offered either by MPC or by other industry participants. MPC will consider these third party courses on a case-by-case basis to determine any eligible CE credit attributable.
With the introduction of the new designation programs, members will no longer be able to obtain the AMP designation.
Get started now, and demonstrate your commitment to professionalism and excellence to your peers and consumers alike.
