The Real Estate Office Management and Brokerage Course is administered on behalf of the Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission (SREC). The course provides the registration education requirements for those who wish to become a licensed registrant as a Broker, Associate Broker or Branch Manager in Saskatchewan. However, the course is also appropriate for those licensees looking to increase their knowledge on a variety of business planning, financial accounting and human resource management topics. Managing a successful real estate office or business demands both a strong background as a registrant and an understanding of how to operate a business, including: public protection, establishing the business, financial accounting, human resource management and leadership. This course includes in-depth, practical case scenarios which help students bridge theory to practice. This blended learning course allows you to register at any time. While the course is flexible in order to meet the needs of busy adult learners, students will need to keep in mind the requirement to successfully complete the course and exam within one year of registration on the course. Regularly scheduled exams take place at various times throughout the year throughout the province (exams must be written in Canada) and your first written examination registration is included with the course tuition fee.

Pre-requisites & Registration Requirements
Please note that you can register for the Real Estate Office Management and Brokerage Course at any time after completing all of Phase 1 and Phase 2. However, before you can register as a broker, you must have worked as a registered salesperson for at least two of the last five years.

English Language Proficiency Requirements
Yes, the English Language Proficiency Requirement must be completed prior to examination registration, however if registration is your intention we strongly recommend that you consider satisfying the ELPR prior to course registration. All Phase 1 – Real Estate as a Professional Career Course students must satisfy the English Language Proficiency Requirement (ELPR)
The purpose of the ELPR is to provide information about an individual student's competency in English.

Official copies of transcripts from the educational institution can be sent directly to the Real Estate Division office.
Course Assignment Issues
Depending on the course, students are required to submit and pass multiple choice and written assignments in order to be eligible to register for the final exam. These assignments ensure that students are reviewing the course materials and provide feedback on their level of understanding.
The Phase 1 and Phase 3 Course Examinations are three hours in length and contain 100 questions in a multiple choice format, each worth one mark. All Phase 2 Examinations will be two hours in length and contain 60 questions in a multiple choice format.
Seventy (70) percent is a passing grade. A passing grade sets the minimum level of performance needed to practice in a profession, as determined by the regulatory body. The passing grade needed must be high enough to protect the public but not so high as to unreasonably limit the number of those who wish to practice.
No, this is not true. The pass rate for each sitting of the exam varies, however, the majority of students who write the exam will pass. The UBC Real Estate Division and the Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission do not try to limit the number of students who pass the exam - they are only concerned with the fact that those who do pass the exam have the prerequisite knowledge to be likely to not harm the public.

Your tuition fee includes all of the appropriate course materials (e.g., manual and workbook – usually dispatched via courier within approximately ten business days of registration), access to a Course Resources website, student support services, and your first examination registration provided it is on a regularly scheduled examination date.
Please note that tuition fees are subject to change and a minimum withdrawal reduction of $200 will apply once your registration has been processed. No refund of course fees will be available unless a withdrawal request is received by our office within one month of your registration date.
