Relicensing Education Program (REP)
All licensees are required to complete one Legal Update course applicable to their area of practice (during each two year registration period) prior to their licence expiry date. If you are licensed to provide more than one service (i.e. trading services and strata management services), you are still only required to complete one Legal Update course.
NEW: In addition to Legal Update, licensees (except strata management licensees) with a licence renewal date on or after October 1, 2018 are also required to successfully complete the Rule Changes: Agency and Disclosure course prior to their licence expiry date.
To renew a licence on or after October 1, 2018, real estate professionals licensed to provide trading services (real estate sales) or rental property management services must, as part of the Council's mandatory REP requirements, complete the Rule Changes: Agency and Disclosure course (the "Rule Changes Course"). Strata property managers are not required to complete the Rules Changes Course.
The Real Estate Division is proud to partner with Mortgage Professionals Canada (MPC) in providing the National Competency Examinations and supporting courses for their Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP) designation and also for the Accredited Mortgage Lender Partner (AMLP) designation.
The Remedial Education Courses are designed for those individuals who have been required to complete a remedial course of studies either by the Real Estate Council of British Columbia pursuant to Section 43-2(f) of the Real Estate Services Act or by consent order.
The Remedial Education Courses are designed for those individuals who have been required to complete a remedial course of studies as required by a board or professional association of which they are a member. The Remedial Education Courses consist of selected material from the Real Estate Trading Services Licensing Course.
