Lesson No. 9 – Insurance and Risk Management

Course Structure

Weekly multiple choice assignments: 10% of final grade.

Project 1: 20% of final grade.  

This project requires you to provide property management advice and services to an investor who has purchased a multi-family rental property. Emphasis is placed on topics the were studied in the first half of the course including law and ethics, negotiations, accounting, and finance.

Project 2:  20% of final grade.

This project builds on the scenario presented in Project 1, focusing on the topics that were studied in the second half of the course. Students are required to develop strategies to improve on the existing space and practices as they relate to design, green elements, building operations, safety and security, risk management and other elements.

Final exam: 50% of final grade. 
Short-answer written questions, multiple choice questions.
