Study globally

Your global journey starts here

During your time at UBC Sauder, you'Il have unparalleled access to immersive study abroad options through our global partnerships. The UBC MBA offers three global learning opportunities: International Business School Exchange, Global Network for Advanced Management and the Global Immersion Experience.

International business school exchanges

Study business at one of our 32 global partner schools around the world. Learn new skills, understand different attitudes and absorb life in another culture. International Exchange is your passport to a global perspective.

Study abroad terms take place at some of the world’s top business schools, with no extra tuition cost. Exposed to a unique international perspective and different approaches to commerce, you’ll develop the skills and confidence to work on the world stage. You’ll also form lifelong friendships and experience the benefit of an expanded global business network that will endure long after graduation.

During exchange, MBA students from schools throughout the world have the opportunity to come to Sauder to take advantage of our strong teaching and research reputation, innovative curriculum, international diversity and spectacular natural setting.

Whether you’re a full-time UBC MBA student at Sauder considering opportunities to study abroad or an MBA student abroad interested in studying at UBC’s Sauder School of Business for a term, international exchange will set you on the path to an exciting and rewarding experience.

Global Network for Advanced Management

UBC Sauder is the only Canadian school in the Global Network for Advanced Management (Global Network), a prestigious collaboration of 30 graduate schools around the world. While students are not guaranteed a spot in Global Network, those who participate will travel to international universities, tour local businesses and meet with local business experts. Plus, students can take online courses offered by schools in the network.

Global Immersion Experience

A key component of the UBC MBA, the GIE allows you to go abroad and consult for a pre- selected overseas company on a real world business challenge. The 5-month experience begins at UBC Sauder with an introduction to the business practices and customs of your host country. Then, once abroad, you'll consult with a local company's management team and help them solve some of their unique business problems.
