Bruce Wiesner is the Associate Dean, Executive Education, providing overall leadership and strategic direction of business development and operations for the business unit. A graduate of the UBC Sauder School, Wiesner brings to the team over thirty years of management and senior executive experience with a proven track record in leading successful growth strategies within the publishing, advertising and media industries. Bruce was previously Senior Vice-President of Canada Wide Media Ltd and has also held several senior positions at Quebecor World Inc. including Regional Vice-President. Prior to that he spent several years in key management roles with Pitney Bowes and Konica Minolta.

Anson is the Director, Open Enrolment, overseeing the complete design and delivery of the open enrolment short and week-long courses and programs. He provides overall leadership and working with the operations teams, ensures the courses and programs are at the highest standards. He partners and collaborates closely with the faculty and industry practitioners to deliver impactful learning that help professionals to build and hone-in on their skills, resulting in higher performance in their functions and organizations. Anson brings extensive and hands-on experience in executive education, talent and leadership development, from working with private and public organizations in Canada and Asia.

Dilla is responsible for developing and implementing the strategic B2B sales plan and programming design for UBC Sauder Executive Education’s International market. Dilla works with public and private sector clients to identify performance goals and determine creative solutions for addressing a variety of organizational development needs. Dilla has a B.Sc. from UBC, majoring in Animal Biology and minoring in Japanese. She is also an INSEAD MBA graduate and has spent most of her early career in advertising and luxury retail in Asia, with roles in sales, marketing and business development.

Lynn began her career in Tokyo, Japan, where she worked as an editor and an educator for more than 10 years. Prior to her move to the Sauder School of Business, Lynn worked with UBC’s Department of Continuing Studies to facilitate the design, development and delivery of online certificate courses for business professionals. She holds a Masters of Education in Distance Education from Athabasca University.

Jessica is responsible for the leadership and operational management of Executive Education’s administration, financial sustainability, human resources and program delivery and logistics. In this role, Jessica strives to support the Executive Education team in the delivery of an outstanding client experience. Originally from Ontario, Jessica moved to Vancouver in 2016 to establish the Western Division of a national not-for-profit business accelerator where she played a critical role in the day-to-day operations and strategic planning. Jessica has extensive client management, business development and strategic planning experience. She holds a Masters of Science in Nutrition and Nutraceutical Sciences from the University of Guelph and a Certificate of Business Analysis from the University of Toronto.

Nicola worked with the London Business School for 18 years as a Programme Director and Lead Coach and as a Senior Learning Consultant and Orchestrator with Headspring, a joint venture between the Financial Times and the IE Business School. Sunny also focuses on fostering positive global partnerships by managing custom programs with Korean clients, leveraged by her international work experience. Perry Atwal
Perry is a lecturer in Strategy and Organizational Behaviour at the UBC Sauder School of Business. He teaches courses on service management, employment relationships, organizational behaviour, strategy and marketing. He has led successful projects involving extremely diverse participants, and has forged effective relationships between business and government professionals at many levels. Previously he worked in Investment Banking in London, New York and Hong Kong.

Dr. Jonathan Berkowitz
Jonathan is a lecturer in Statistics at the UBC Sauder School of Business. Recognized as an outstanding and inspiring teacher, he is also a consulting statistician in a wide range of research areas. Puzzles are an integral part of his life as well. A member of the National Puzzlers’ League, he is the Word Guy on CBC Radio’s North by Northwest. His expertise in both numbers and words give him unique insights into lateral thinking and full-brain decision making.

Jonathan Carrigan
Jonathan is a passionate thought leader with 20 years of experience working at the intersection of strategy, technology and design. He was a founding member of the corporate transformation office at Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment that guided the organization's digital transformation. Previously he led digital product development and design in support of strategic planning at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. An active educator and online facilitator, he speaks regularly at industry events internationally.

Dr. Lisa Cavanaugh
Lisa is an Associate Professor in the Marketing and Behavioral Science Division at the UBC Sauder School of Business, where she teaches courses in consumer behaviour, marketing strategy and business strategy integration. Her interests lie in the areas of emotions, relationships, identity, social influence and prosocial consumption. Previously she was the Manager of New Business/Brand Development for several U.S. non-profit organizations.

Andrew Chen
Andrew is an Adjunct Professor at the UBC Sauder School of Business who specializes in improvisation for leaders and business communications. He is a Canadian Comedy Award Nominated performer and has worked in improvisation since 2003. He has been affiliated with various improv organizations such as the Canadian Improv Games, UBC Improv and Instant Theatre, and has offered improv programs in a professional development context.

Dr. Darren Dahl
Darren is Senior Associate Dean at the UBC Sauder School of Business, where he holds the Innovate BC Professorship in Sales and Sales Management. He teaches courses in strategic marketing, entrepreneurship and creativity. His work on product development and consumer behaviour has been presented at conferences internationally. He also consults for major organizations such as Procter & Gamble, General Electric, Lululemon and Xerox. He recently received Canada’s highest post-graduate teaching honour, and was a finalist in The Economist magazine’s Business Professor of the Year competition.

Jenny Dickson
Jenny is a Sessional Lecturer in the Marketing and Behavioural Science Division at the UBC Sauder School of Business. She has 17 years of experience in marketing at well known brands such as The Coca-Cola Company, Molson Coors and Aritzia, as well as at other small Vancouver-based businesses.

Adel Gamar
Adel is CEO and cofounder of a boutique consultancy firm specializing in adaptive leadership and change management. For more than 15 years, he has advised and coached senior leaders of Fortune 500 companies and major public sector agencies world-wide. He has also served as Education Specialist at UNESCO and Policy Fellow at Harvard Law School. While at Harvard, he taught adaptive leadership and co-facilitated the Think Tank on Global Education.

Rochelle Grayson
Rochelle is a consumer and digital media executive with 20 years of business, technology and education experience. She has launched and led several innovative digital media initiatives, working with companies both small and large as well as with highly analytical and creative individuals.

Erica Groschler
Erica is an Adjunct faculty member at the UBC Sauder School of Business. She also runs her own consulting business focusing on organizational design, leadership, team development, change and organizational culture. Her clients have included organizations in industries such as healthcare, high-tech and engineering.

Tracey Gurton
Tracey is a faculty member at the UBC Sauder School of Business. She has more than 18 years of experience teaching MBA, MM and BCOM programs in the areas of organizational culture, leadership, emotional intelligence, managing change, and trust on teams. She also delivers professional development programs to executives and managers in private and public organizations, with the objective of helping companies be a better place to work. Recognized for teaching excellence, she believes that a paramount responsibility in teaching, speaking, facilitation and consulting is to bring theory to life with practical examples and experiences.

Dr. David Hannah
David is an Associate Professor of Management at the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University, where he has received multiple teaching awards. His interests centre on the protection of organizational trade secrets and how workers cope with intensely emotional work. His clients have included BC Hydro, MacDonald Dettwiler and PMC-Sierra.

Dr. Joey Hoegg
Joey is the Canada Research Chair in Consumer Behaviour and Associate Professor of Marketing at the UBC Sauder School of Business. She teaches consumer insights and marketing research. Her expertise includes the influence of product and advertising design on consumers, and how brands develop relationships with their customers. Previously she worked as a marketing research and communications consultant in San Diego.

Denise Holleran-Boswell
Denise is the founder and Managing Partner of Collaborators In Knowledge Inc. She brings more than 40 years of practical experience in managing, auditing and rescuing multi-million dollar projects. She has also trained thousands of students from the private and public sectors in the best practices of portfolio and project management. She is the past President of the Society of PMPs of Greater Vancouver.

Dr. Tim Huh
Tim is a Professor at the UBC Sauder School of Business. His interests include operations management, inventory control, supply chain management and dynamic pricing. He has worked with semiconductor companies on capacity expansion and configuration, when the production technology and demand for products were subject to high uncertainty. He has also worked with health care organizations, insurance companies and manufacturing facilities in Canada and the U.S.

Steve Jacobs
Steve is Senior Advisor and past Board Chair at CLG, a global leader in behaviour-based strategy execution and performance improvement consulting. He is known internationally for his work with senior executives who are accountable for making things happen—improving the speed, return and sustainability of performance improvement strategies in their companies. His clients have included major corporations such as Chevron, Cigna, H.J. Heinz and the Bank of Montreal.

Tristan Jutras
Tristan helps people make smart technology decisions. With a background in broadcasting, web development, marketing and communications, he has more than 20 years of experience working with local startups and global brands on online endeavours. He also leads courses and speaks regularly on the news about tech topics.

Dr. Keith Kee
Keith is a Director with True Hoshin Consulting Inc. He has more than 15 years of experience assisting clients in their journey of operational design, including the integration of automation and digital transformation. A certified Lean Black Belt, project management and change management expert, he also delivers Lean optimization, continuous service improvement and strategic planning programs to private and public sector organizations.

Magdelene Rebecca Kee
Magdelene is a Director with True Hoshin Consulting Inc. Formerly she was the Director of Business Consulting at Fujitsu Canada, Director of Lean at PWC, and Manager of Lean Transformation at Vancouver Coastal Health. A certified coach in Lean, she has more than 30 years of experience in developing and delivering training, optimization, continuous service improvement and strategic planning programs to organizations across multiple industries.

Adam Kingl
Adam is Adjunct Faculty at Ashridge – Hult International Business School and a number of other universities, and is a globally respected expert on generational paradigms in the workplace and the future of work. He has spent decades helping organizations to reinvent themselves in times of change. Author of the book Next Generation Leadership, Adam appears frequently in major media outlets such as Forbes and Fortune as well as in podcasts and webinars.

Dr. Harish Krishnan
Harish is a Professor in the Operations and Logistics Division at the UBC Sauder School of Business. His expertise is in the area of supply chain management, specifically as it relates to incentive alignment and contracting. He teaches courses in process analysis and supply chain management, and has worked with several private and public sector organizations in BC.

Dr. Gail Levitt
Gail is president of her own communications consultancy. An expert and author on influential leadership, she coaches individuals and teams to enhance their communications, leadership, strategic problem solving, and productivity for peak performance. She is known for her energetic and motivating teaching style, and has written two acclaimed books on collaboration and team planning. Her diverse clients include TD Bank, Home Depot, Telus, Toyota, and numerous public sector agencies.

Scott MacEachern
Scott (CPA, CA) has had wide-ranging career experiences as the CFO of a public multinational fibre optic deployment company; University adjunct professor; and auditor for a Big 4 accounting firm. He is currently a partner of an accounting firm specializing in mid-size public company compliance and professional development courses.

Dr. Gordon McIntosh
Gordon has 35+ years of experience in providing governance development, strategic facilitation and leadership guidance to government and public sector organizations. His current interests focus on alignment strategies for effective political/administrative relations. His students affirm that his dynamic sessions enable them to make an immediate leadership difference back at work.

Dr. Steven Minns
Steven is a faculty member in the Strategy and Business Economics Department at the UBC Sauder School of Business. His interests include business strategy, innovation, decision making and public policy. Formerly he was Head of Project Management at Taylor Woodrow, an international development and infrastructure construction firm with operations throughout Europe, Africa, North America and the Middle East.

Robert Murray
Robert is a strategy, leadership development and business optimization specialist. An award-winning transformational leader, he has led 18 different turn-around projects in more than 20 countries where the culture was toxic and debilitating to success. A passionate educator, he is also a sought-after speaker and an Amazon #1 best-selling author on issues relating to customer-centric cultures, strategy, transformation and leadership.

Dr. Mahesh Nagarajan
Mahesh is a Professor and Chair of the Operations and Logistics Division at the UBC Sauder School of Business, where he holds the Alumni Chair Professorship in stochastic optimization and financial modeling. His areas of applied research include data analytics and mathematical modeling of business systems. He has also consulted with major international organizations in retail, manufacturing, services and health care.

Christopher Obst
Chris is a performance-focused coach with more than 20 years of experience challenging organizational leaders at top companies to achieve business results while gaining personal rewards. He also writes extensively about managing people and energy. His talent for motivating high-performing teams earned the National Post “Canada’s 50 Best Managed Private Companies” Award.

Carman Overholt (Q.C.)
Carman works with senior business managers and HR professionals to ensure compliance with labour, employment and human rights legislation, and to develop policies that minimize litigation risk and disruption. He has appeared on behalf of employers before the Supreme Court of BC and the Canadian Industrial Relations Board. He has also represented employers in labour arbitration proceedings and collective bargaining.

Tracy Page
Tracy is an Instructor at the UBC Sauder School of Business and certified project management professional. She works locally and internationally to help her clients deliver successfully on complex, strategic projects. Her workshops help team members improve their skills to be more effective team members on projects and in day-to-day working relationships.

Dr. Marie-Hélène Pelletier
Marie-Hélène draws on her extensive background to increase resilience as a key pillar of organizational success. She is a practicing psychologist and senior leader with over 20 years of experience. As an executive at Sun Life Financial, she oversaw the physical, mental and financial health strategy to support Sun Life’s clients.

Joanna Piros
Joanna is a senior consultant with Counterpoint Communications, where she conducts communications and media relations consulting. For 20+ years she has trained thousands of people how to become better communicators, and how to project themselves in the media spotlight and on the podium. Her clients have included Ballard Power Systems, VanCity, TransLink and Indigenous & Northern Affairs Canada.

Rob Prowse
Rob is an Adjunct Professor of Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources at the UBC Sauder School of Business. He also works with organizations globally through his consulting practice, where he focuses on organizational design, leadership, performance management and people development strategies. His clients include Scotiabank, GlaxoSmithKline and Ledcor Group.

Dr. Steven Shechter
Steven is an Associate Professor at the UBC Sauder School of Business. His expertise involves applying data-driven, advanced analytical techniques to improve managerial decision making. He was recently awarded a Career Investigator Award from BC’s Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research for his work on applying analytics to the health care industry. He also has work experience applying analytics to the airline industry.

Dr. Timothy Silk
Tim teaches brand management, new product development and consumer behaviour at the UBC Sauder School of Business. A leading expert in pricing and promotion-related consumer behaviour, he helps major international organizations to identify strategic market opportunities for new products. He has also helped shape consumer-friendly public policies for government agencies. Formerly he was a marketing manager for a soft-drink company and an advertising account executive.

Scott Sinclair
Scott is a lecturer at the UBC Sauder School of Business. He has been actively involved in professional accounting education for more than 30 years. He was the principal author for the CA School of Business in Western Canada between 2000 and 2010, and has won multiple awards for teaching excellence. He has also worked for Coopers & Lybrand Chartered Accounts, serving small business and mining clients.

Dr. Daniel Skarlicki
Daniel is the Edgar Kaiser Professor of Organizational Behaviour at the UBC Sauder School of Business. He has taught executive programs in organizations across North and South America, Europe and Asia. His clients have included VanCity, Rocky Mountaineer and Glaxo. An active educator, he has won numerous teaching and international research awards. His interests focus on leadership mindfulness and how people respond to justice and injustice at work.

Trevor Sones
Trevor is an Adjunct Professor at the UBC Sauder School of Business, where he teaches courses in human behaviour and works with indigenous leaders providing communication skills training. As a Mediator with the BC Labour Relations Board, he has many years of experience helping leaders solve complex communication problems. He is particularly skilled at handling interactions between senior leaders on politically sensitive issues involving those under their leadership.

Jim Southcott
Jim is a senior strategist with more than 25 years of experience working with senior managers to set their long-term business and marketing strategy. His special areas of interest include brand management, new product development, digital readiness, cultural branding, organizational creativity and innovation. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the UBC Sauder School of Business, where he teaches courses on cultivating creativity in business.

Amy Stanley
Amy is an Adjunct Professor at the UBC Sauder School of Business. She has worked in various HR roles, including 8 years as an HR Manager in UBC’s Department of Medicine. She has also been awarded Associate Certified Coach status from the International Coach Foundation. She currently manages her own leadership development business specializing in helping leaders handle conflict and challenging professional relationships.

Kai Su
Kai is a LSS Black Belt with many years of experience in leading large-scale process improvement programs within complex organizations. As a provider of LSS mentorship, training and business collaboration, he is known to be a continuous change agent for encompassing customer-centric thinking into the everyday culture. He is currently a Senior Process Improvement Consultant at TELUS.

Dr. James Tansey
James is an Associate Professor at the UBC Sauder School of Business. He is also the Executive Director of UBC Sauder’s Centre for Social Innovation & Impact Investing and UBC’s Sustainability Initiative. An award-winning leader in social enterprise, emerging technologies and environmental strategy, he co-founded Canada’s largest carbon project developer and advises government agencies in the green energy space.

Dr. Thomas Tripp
Tom is Professor of Management and Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the Carson College of Business at Washington State University. He teaches courses in leadership, decision making and negotiation. An internationally famous expert in workplace conflict, he publishes widely on conflict, revenge and forgiveness. He is also a popular educator who has won numerous awards for teaching excellence.

Dr. Alex Trisoglio
Alex is Adjunct Professor of Leadership and Organizational Behaviour at the UBC Sauder School of Business. He is an executive coach and leadership adviser with extensive experience in leadership development, performance improvement and organizational change. His experience includes nineteen years advising senior leaders at McKinsey & Co. and four years working with the CEO and Management Team at IFC/The World Bank.

Dr. Danielle van Jaarsveld
Danielle is an Associate Professor at the UBC Sauder School of Business in the Organizational Behavior-Human Resources Division. Her expertise includes customer service, industrial relations and human resource management. Currently, she focuses on how customer mistreatment of employees influences performance, turnover and absenteeism. She is frequently interviewed by the media about her findings.

Dr. Yanwen Wang
Yanwen is an Assistant Professor of Marketing and Canada Research Chair in Marketing Analytics at the UBC Sauder School of Business, where she teaches marketing research and customer relationship management. Her interests lie at the intersection between marketing and public policy; specifically, the regulatory implications of marketing actions in anti-smoking campaigns, political advertising and mobile ride sharing apps.

Dr. Kate White
Kate is Professor of Marketing & Behavioural Science and Academic Director of the Peter Dillon Centre for Business Ethics at the UBC Sauder School of Business. A world-renowned researcher, author and teacher, she focuses on how we can shift people’s attitudes to encourage prosocial actions. She has also conducted behaviour change projects with major public sector organizations, including smoking cessation with Health Canada, sustainability with The City of Calgary, and charitable giving with The United Way.

Dr. Lingtao Yu
Lingtao is an Assistant Professor of Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources at the UBC Sauder School of Business. His areas of expertise include leadership and ethics, abusive supervision, workplace deviance and emotions.

Bo Zhang
Bo (CPA, CA) worked in Ernst & Young LLP’s assurance practice in Canada and the U.S. where he had extensive experience in SEC financial reporting, internal controls and compliance. Currently he is an accounting instructor at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, and an independent consultant for real estate transactions including valuation and cash flow forecasting.
