Online meeting room
Getting Started with Collaborate
DAP's virtual meeting room is a place for students to meet online for information sessions or webinars. The meeting room is hosted on UBC's server and is run using the Blackboard Collaborate software program.
For most attendees, no software needs to be installed, but you do need to visit the First Time Users webpage to check your system against the software requirements (Note: you may be prompted with a security warning on this page – you will need to allow the software to run in order to test your system). This page will also provide you access to the Configuration Room in order to confirm the software is working and to configure your audio. Simply follow the steps outlined on the page.
Accessing the DAP Meeting Room:
- Enter the webinar room here: DAP MEETING ROOM
- Enter your first and last name on the Session Log In page and click 'Log In'.
- The Collaborate application should now load. If prompted with a 'Security Warning' window, make sure allow the application to 'Run'.
