Return to this page on May 28 at 2pm to watch a live one-on-one with alumnus Brian Wong (BCom 2009), who is returning to Sauder to discuss his whirlwind success in the social media marketplace during UBC Alumni Weekend.
Just 20 years old, Wong has secured $4 million in financing for his online venture, Kiip, an advertising platform for mobile devices that gives gamers the chance to win real-world rewards while playing videogames on their smartphones.
With his latest venture, Wong broke Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg’s record as the youngest entrepreneur to raise major venture capital, and has won the support of such corporate heavyweights as Sony, 1-800 Flowers, Dr. Pepper and Sephora.
How did he do it? Hear it directly from the wunderkind himself.
