These two business schools in different regions of the country are working together to deliver an executive education program. In their first foray as partners, the two schools identified the opportunity to co-create and deliver a business analytics program, leveraging their respective academic strengths.

This program, Data Analytics for Managerial Decision-Making, on analytics best practices is a cross-country collaboration between the two business schools that leverages local expertise while also offering a national perspective.

In February, Dr. Tim Huh, a Professor in the Operations and Logistics Division at UBC Sauder will travel to Winnipeg and serve as the moderator of the course. His expertise includes operations management, inventory control, supply chain management and dynamic pricing.

The 2-day interactive course is delivered at Asper Executive Education on the ground in Winnipeg. Taking place on February 20 and 21, it will focus on how data-driven approaches can promote productivity and growth. The program will cover analytics best practices used by the world’s top companies and explore how analytics can generate new business insights and opportunities.

Through lively discussions and hands-on exercises working with Excel tools, participants will learn how descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics can solve business problems and improve organizational decision-making.

This introductory-level course is perfect for middle and upper managers, analysts, project leaders and anyone working in a non-technical role who has had limited exposure to business analytics but would like to gain a greater understanding of the concepts.

Participants will learn how analytics can be used to make better decisions, mitigate risks and solve problems for your organization. Learn more
