UBC represented well in Vancouver Magazine Power 50

Last week, Vancouver Magazine released their 2018 VanMag Power 50 List, a ranking of the most powerful people in the city right now. The list includes UBC Sauder alumni and advisory board members, as well as UBC’s president.

Included on the list are:

  • The Aquilini Family, including Roberto Aquilini
    (UBC Sauder faculty advisory board member)

  • Peter Dhillon - President and CEO, Richberry Group of Companies
    (UBC Sauder faculty advisory board member, and advisory board member for the Peter P. Dhillon Centre for Business Ethics)

  • Carol Lee - Restaurant Owner; Chair, Chinatown Revitalization Committee and Vancouver Chinatown Foundation
    (UBC Sauder faculty advisory board member)

  • Brandt Louie - Chair and CEO, Georgia Main Food Group; Chair, London Drugs

In its 18th year, the annual Vancouver Magazine power rankings have seen not just the names on the list shift over time, but also the definition of power itself, as “power isn’t just found in the hands of board room bosses and high rollers, it’s also wielded by Vancouverites who are moving the dial in quieter—but equally meaningful—ways.”
