The UBC Sauder School of Business has ranked first in Canada and 38th in the world in the Business and Management studies category of the latest QS World University subject-area rankings. The school also placed prominently in Accounting and Finance, placing second overall in Canada and 32nd globally.

The QS World Rankings compare the world's leading educational institutions against six key metrics including academic reputation, faculty/student ratio and international faculty ratio. The 2018 survey drew on responses from 75,015 academics worldwide and focused on teaching and research quality of universities; the survey also evaluated 'citations per faculty' across a five-year-period to examine the institution's contributions to academia and furthering critical research.

UBC Sauder also ranked high in other reputable rankings: in the latest Times Higher Education subject-area rankings, UBC Sauder placed first and second in Canada for Business & Economics and Business & Management studies, respectively. The school also earned the top spot in Maclean's most recent ranking of the 20 best business schools across Canada.
