For the third year in a row, the UBC Sauder School of Business has been recognized as the top school to study business in Canada, as UBC maintained the #1 ranking as the best business program in Canada for 2020 from Maclean’s Magazine’s University Rankings.

In the most recent Maclean’s ranking of the 20 best business programs across Canada, UBC earned high marks in each of the individual ranking categories, including program reputation (#2), research reputation (#1, tied with Toronto), fractional reputation (#3), fractional citations (#2), and field-weighted citation impact (#4).

To produce the annual ranking, Maclean’s draws on data provided by Scopus, part of the Elsevier Research Intelligence portfolio, one of the most comprehensive compendiums of peer-reviewed literature in the world. This is combined with the results of the Maclean’s survey of thousands of university faculty and senior administrators across Canada, who were asked to list up to 10 universities which they felt were offering the best programs and conducting the best business research.
