Sauder grads Les Robertson and Rob Foxall have founded the fundraising initiative Skate4Kenya to benefit Sauder’s Social Entrepreneurship 101, a program which sends Sauder students to Nairobi every year to train young people in Kenya’s poorest areas how to create positive change through business.
As part of the Skate4Kenya venture, Robertson and Foxall will skateboard 480km from Nairobi in central Kenya to Mombasa on the country’s coast, documenting their journey along the way. By making this long trek on skate decks, the pair hopes to raise funds toward Social Entrepreneurship 101’s goal of opening a year-round office in Kenya.
