Sauder grad Arnold Leung wins Business Development Bank of Canada's 2011 Young Entrepreneur Award

Sauder graduate Arnold Leung has received the 2011 Young Entrepreneur Award granted annually by the Business Development Bank of Canada. The award recognizes Canada's most innovative, creative and community-minded young business people.
 
Born in Hong Kong, 25-year-old Leung currently lives in Vancouver where he is the CEO of Appnovation Technologies Inc. Appnovation specializes in the design of websites and mobile applications using open source software such as Drupal, Alfresco and SproutCore. Leung started Appnovation in 2007 after graduating with a BCom from Sauder. The company's clients now range from NBC Universal to the World Wildlife Fund. 
 
“Arnold is an incredible demonstration of what even the youngest entrepreneurs can achieve,” says BDC President and CEO Jean-René Halde. “With impressive drive, market foresight and business know-how, Arnold conquered a specialized niche and created a thriving high-tech performer.”
