I have been informed by the Commerce Undergraduate Society of the intention of CUS President, Enzo Woo, and Vice-President Engagement, Gillian Ong to resign their positions effective today.
I wish to acknowledge the CUS leadership’s decision to take steps they feel are appropriate to provide renewal to the student leadership and foster a positive future for the student community at the Sauder School of Business. There is no doubt that this has been a challenging time for these students, and I understand that their decision to resign their posts could not have been an easy one.
Although they are stepping out of their positions in student leadership, these students remain valued members of the Sauder community. We will work with them to ensure they have the learning experiences and support they need to continue to lead successful and productive lives at UBC.
Going forward, Sauder’s faculty and staff will continue to work with the Commerce Undergraduate Society to create a positive, respectful environment that supports our vibrant student community.
