Vancouver – Izak Benbasat, the Chair of UBC’s Sauder School of Business Management Information Systems Division, has been ranked the fifth most productive information systems (IS) scholar worldwide.
The study, published in the Association for Information Systems (CAIS) professional journal, focuses on publication productivity of IS researchers in twelve major IS journals from the years 1999-2003. UBC places in the top 30 schools worldwide in the survey, and is listed among the top five schools publishing in the two leading MIS journals, MIS Quarterly and Information Systems Research.
Benbasat, the only Canadian scholar named to the top-ten list, holds the Canada Research Chair in Information Technology Management.
