In the News | The Telegraph covers new Sauder research on why boards benefit from more women

The UK newspaper features a new study, co-authored by Professor Kai Li, which suggests that female directors get better deals on mergers and acquisitions.

Companies with more women on their corporate boards will pay less on average for their acquisitions because they take “a more prudent approach to business deals,” the story notes.

“This finding adds fire and force to recent calls to mandate a minimum number of women on the boards of publicly traded companies,” says Li.
