In an interview with The Globe and Mail, Associate Professor Werner Antweiler comments on the economic effects of new laws to legalize and regulate marijuana in Washington State.

The B.C. marijuana market is largely export and Antweiler, an international trade expert, estimates its value to be in the billions.

Antweiler says that the new state legislation could result in B.C.’s black market pot industry taking a “significant” hit.
