Your Next Steps

Before we see you at Opening Week, there are a number of important things to take care of. The list below will get you on your way.

Sign on to Canvas

Find your way to your program’s Canvas site, the central hub for all important information during your program. There, you will find program announcements, staff contact details, student support resources, and access to all your academic courses. Watch the Canvas tutorial, to learn how to navigate the site.

Get in touch

We want to get to know you and answer any questions you may have! Schedule a welcome call with one of our team members through the Canvas Calendar. or book a time to chat with one of our graduate student ambassadors.

Visit the campus

There are always so many things to explore around campus! Visit UBC in person or with a live virtual campus tour to experience life on campus. Check out this page to learn what's there to see and do at the Vancouver campus.

Decide where to live

You can live on-campus or, more commonly, find housing off-campus. Housing options can be found in vibrant neighbourhoods throughout Vancouver. Vancouver is a year-round adventurers paradise that offers unlimited opportunities to explore and feel inspired. Whether you’re a foodie, an arts and culture buff, an outdoor enthusiast, or an urbanite, there is something for everyone.
