Events at UBC Sauder

Art of Dining Well | Toronto

Out of an abundance of caution due to current conditions with the COVID-19 outbreak, we are postponing our The Art of Dining Well | Toronto event on April 1st, 2020. All ticket purchases will be refunded over the coming weeks.

Have you ever used the wrong glass at a formal dinner, or accidentally grabbed your neighbour’s napkin? Join fellow UBC Sauder alumni and explore the nuances of the art of dining well at the Albany Club with an Etiquette and Protocol Consultant, Leanne Pepper.

Enjoy a gourmet three-course meal crafted by a club member for over 15 years, chef Jay Parhar, paired with carefully selected wines. During dinner, you’ll be led through key dining etiquette lessons by resident etiquette expert Leanne Pepper, including:

  • Understanding your table setting
  • Mastering difficult to eat foods
  • How to handle conversation topics and conduct business
  • Hands-on tips for how to work the room during cocktail hour and seamlessly find your seat at the table

Understand the dining behaviours that are expected from a professional in today’s business world. Whether you want to get comfortable with fine dining, or simply refresh your etiquette, join us for an excellent meal and impress the next time you go out for dinner!
