Managing your finances is a key asset to develop in life. Understand the costs that are involved with university and have a plan to manage your budget.

Apply for a study permit

International students are required to have a valid study permit for the duration of your studies. Apply for your study permit as soon as you receive your Letter of Acceptance.

Find student housing

Many new students will qualify for our First Year Guarantee in Winter Session Residence. Learn about criteria and the application process. 

Plan your program and register for courses 

Be prepared! Course registration begins in July. Find your registration date, pick your courses, build your worklists and register early.

Join UBC’s orientation for all first-year students running from August 29 to September 3, 2021.

Experience Imagine UBC

Attend this orientation for new students on Tuesday, September 7. This is your chance to meet UBC Sauder faculty and your community. In early September, you will receive an email with your personalized Imagine UBC schedule.

Attend Spark

Get inspired at this orientation exclusive to UBC Sauder. In September, after your first week of class, the Spark will transform your first-year experience. It’s a celebration full of new friendships, fun and games.
