The purpose of this course is to provide students a simulated lifelike consulting experience. This provides participants with a firsthand experience of the intensity, creativity, problem-solving challenges, change in direction and deliverables inherent to a consulting assignment. This course will require students to work collaboratively in a group and apply a cross-functional approach to solving the client’s question (i.e., strategy, finance, marketing, valuation etc.) Students will frame and structure the client problem, perform research and analysis to develop recommendations and present their group’s findings in the class. As this will be a live case example, the instructor will spend a significant amount of hands-on time with groups to help shape analysis and develop deliverables. This course is designed for students with an interest in management consulting or corporate strategy and who would like to experience a “real-life” example of what to expect on the job.
