Comments on report by the mayor's task force on affordable housing by Dr. Tom Davidoff and Dr. Tsur Somerville. June 26, 2012.
The Mayor's Task Force on Affordable Housing released a report that as urban economists we find to be a mix of very good and very worrisome proposals. The intention of the report, to increase the supply of housing in Vancouver without compromising our high level of urban and environmental amenities that make our region so appealing, deserves applause.
