Adjunct Professor, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Group
Jim has worked as a senior strategist for over 30 years, on both agency and client side. A partner at Southcott Strategy, Jim specializes in Creativity & Innovation Leadership, Brand Differentiation, Cultural Branding, Customer Experience Planning and Disruption. He is skilled at facilitating creative planning summits for leadership teams and encouraging organizations to explore disruptive new market space for their brands. In addition to his strategist responsibilities, Jim has been active on a number of Boards and is currently a Vice-Chair with YMCA Vancouver.
Jim is currently an Adjunct Professor in the Sauder School of Business at UBC, teaching a course on Cultivating Creativity in Business, focusing on the following key topics:
- Developing your personal creativity.
- Inspiring creativity in larger teams.
- Creativity as a key business problem-solving tool.
