The Centre for Transportation Studies fosters research and publication on transportation, logistics and closely allied fields. The primary emphasis is on economics, management and policy issues, but many academic disciplines may be involved including economics, operations research, statistical analysis, management and organizational structure, as well as teaming up with expertise from civil engineering, geography, environmental studies, planning or other academic programs.
The Centre for Operations Excellence is an internationally recognized operations research centre dedicated to providing value to business and academia through projects with industry and research on applied OR methods. The also administers the UBC Master of Management in Operations Research, a specialized 16-month program that provides students with an advanced education in business analytics and operations research.
The Centre for Operations Research and Analytics in Health (CORAH) of the Sauder School of Business at UBC brings a rigorous, research-driven approach to solving important and challenging problems in the health care industry. Centre faculty, experts in Operations Research, Management Science, and Analytics, work closely with clinicians, managers, and administrators to bring analytical, evidence-based solutions to the complex planning, operational, and medical decisions they face.
