Jonathan Kallner

Jonathan was appointed as KPMG’s regional managing partner for the Greater Vancouver Area in October 2011. Jonathan has recently served as the national leader for KPMG's industrial markets group and prior to that was the national leader for KPMG's information, communication and entertainment Group.

Jonathan has more than 25 years of experience providing audit services and business advice to clients in a variety of industries including retail, distribution, technology, life-sciences and not-for-profit. Jonathan has experience with private financings, public offerings, U.S. and Canadian public reporting requirements, and business combinations.

He frequently works with boards and shareholders and addresses corporate governance issues, a role he has played for many of KPMG’s most significant clients. Jonathan is also a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors, a school for director education and certification; he shares timely information on current and emerging governance issues and best practices with his clients.

Jonathan attended UBC and obtained a bachelor of arts in political science and holds a chartered accountant designation. He joined the partnership of KPMG effective October 1, 2000.

Outside of work, his interests include golf, coaching soccer and water sports. Jonathan is very involved in the community having served as a director of several not-for-profit organizations, including the Rick Hansen Foundation, and participates in a number of other charitable organizations. Jonathan is also a governor of the Business Council of British Columbia.
