Position Description: I manage the Lay’s and Cheetos brands in Canada, with the goal of driving sales and share growth through national consumer promotions, innovation launches, media planning and other brand-building initiatives.

Experience: My experience with CPG started about 6 years ago when I interned as a Marketing Assistant at Happy Planet Foods. After graduating from Sauder, I joined the PepsiCo Foods Canada team where I spent a year and a half on Shopper Marketing before transitioning to Brand Marketing.

Position: Senior Market Analyst - Continuous Analytics

Company: Nielsen

Position Description: I'm a client-facing account lead focused on creating outcome-generating analytics. My responsibilities are based on identifying key consumer and shopper insights and delivering actionable recommendations to resolve my clients' pain points.

Experience: My first experience with CPG was an internship at L'Oreal with a focus on brand marketing and innovation. I shifted gears afterwards to work at Nielsen on the consumer insights side of the business and have had experience working with over 25 clients touching every aisle of the grocery store.

Justine Wong, BCOM 2013

Position: Brand Manager

Company: Hasbro

Position Description: I lead the Hasbro Gaming portfolio, responsible for driving sales, profitability, and market share through the development and execution of brand strategy. By building integrated marketing campaigns, managing key product launches, and ensuring alignment with retail partners, I work to deliver growth across our classic and new brands.

Experience: My brand management experience spans across multiple industries – healthcare, food, and toys. I spent my early years in CPG at Maple Leaf Foods and Unilever. In the past two years I’ve been in the toy industry, building brands that are not only products, but also entertainment/licensing properties, such as Transformers, Nerf, and Monopoly.

Jeremy Hole, BCOM 2014

Position Description: I manage Learnkit’s partnership portfolio of elearning courses with a focus on building the business foundation for each of our six partnerships and their courses. Similar to a brand manager, my role as a product manager encompass a variety of tasks in marketing, sales, operations, legal, research, finance and more.

Experience: 2.5 years - Brand Intern on Speed Stick at Colgate-Palmolive, Global Management Trainee and Sales at Labatt Brewers of Canada, followed by my current role at LearnKit.

 

 

Enzo Woo, BCOM 2014

Position: Sr. National Category Account Executive (Fabric Care)

Company: Procter & Gamble

Position Description: I currently act as the conduit between P&G’s marketing and sales teams, responsible for taking the Fabric Care category’s – P&G’s largest – brand strategies and deploying customized sales plans for major retailer accounts. Working with both P&G’s vast North American internal business unit and large retailer teams assigned to serve Wal-Mart, Loblaws, Costco, Shoppers Drug Mart & Amazon, among others, I help bring global brand focuses into fruition as retailer-facing executions.

Experience: I started my CPG career in brand internship roles at Reckitt Benckiser and Mondelez International before joining L’Oreal as an Assistant Brand Manager on the Garnier Fructis hair care brand. I had the amazing opportunity to work on established global brands like Air Wick and Wheat Thins, while also helping launch a brand-new one: Potato Thins. I soon found however, that my favourite parts of the job was the work I got to do with the sales teams and retailers so I made the switch to Key Account Management (KAM) at P&G. In my first role, I took select high-level strategies deployed by brand managers and executed them at my retailer, Shoppers Drug Mart, to grow my portfolio of brands.

Kelsey Ingham, BCOM 2014

Position: Sr. Associate Brand Manager

Company: The Kraft Heinz Company

Position Description: I am responsible for developing the 3-year innovation pipeline (new product development) across our Cheese + Coffee businesses. I work with the consumer insights team to develop new product ideas, and then work internally across multiple functions (R&D, Supply Chain, Sales, etc) to bring new products to market.

Experience: I began my career as a Brand Marketing intern at Kraft Foods (now The Kraft Heinz Company) and have continued to progress throughout the organization to Sr. Associate Brand Manager. My experience has been largely rooted in our Coffee portfolio, with a recent transition to also focus on Cheese.

Company: Procter & Gamble North America

Position Description: I lead the brand strategies, marketing communications, and advertising for P&G’s billion dollar portfolios out of the global headquarters in Ohio. I oversee the P&L and have a proven track record of delivering breakthrough sales and innovation.

Experience: Highlights at P&G include working on iconic brands such as Crest, Olay, and Bounty as well as being a part of the ‘Thank You Mom’ Olympics activation. Prior to P&G, I had work experience at General Motors, Ipsos Reid, and a start-up. I also spent some time at Parsons School of Design in New York.

Nicole Israll, B.Com. 2009

Position: Sr. Retail Marketing Manager
 BMMP Mentor Nicole Israll

Company: Colgate-Palmolive

Position Description: I lead the Retail Shopper Marketing Team, with responsibility for developing insight-driven marketing programs at a retailer level (including eRetailer), increasing thought-leadership with our customers to build stronger relationships and unlock new opportunities, and coaching & developing the shopper team.

Experience: I’ve been at Colgate-Palmolive for 8 years, 6 years in brand management and 2 years in retail marketing. When I was in Brand Marketing, I worked on a number of projects including the development of the annual brand plans, new product go-to-market strategy and I was fortunate to lead the development of a breakthrough marketing campaign for Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief toothpaste from insight through execution. More recently, I’ve been expanding my marketing skill set in our newly-created retail shopper marketing function. This role has been particularly interesting given the increasing power of our retailers & the evolving role of digital in the path to purchase.
