Position Description: I manage the Lay’s and Cheetos brands in Canada, with the goal of driving sales and share growth through national consumer promotions, innovation launches, media planning and other brand-building initiatives.

Experience: My experience with CPG started about 6 years ago when I interned as a Marketing Assistant at Happy Planet Foods. After graduating from Sauder, I joined the PepsiCo Foods Canada team where I spent a year and a half on Shopper Marketing before transitioning to Brand Marketing.

Ben Chen, BCOM 2014

Ben Chen
Position: Associate Marketing Manager

Company: General Mills

Position Description: I manage the Canadian portfolio of Pizza Pops, Hamburger Helper, Toaster Strudel and Betty Crocker Potatoes. I drive sales, share growth and profitability through launching new innovations, developing national consumer campaigns, and driving holistic margin management projects.

Experience: After being a part of BMMP as a mentee I landed an internship at L'Oreal in brand management and then switched gears to work at Nielsen to develop and strengthen my analytical skills as a Sr. Market Analyst serving a large range of CPG clients in Vancouver and Toronto. In the past year I've joined General Mills to be back on the brand management side of the business.

Enzo Woo, BCOM 2014

BMMP Mentor Enzo Woo 
Position: Sr. National Category Account Executive (Fabric Care)

Company: Procter & Gamble

Position Description: I currently act as the conduit between P&G’s marketing and sales teams, responsible for taking the Fabric Care category’s – P&G’s largest – brand strategies and deploying customized sales plans for major retailer accounts. Working with both P&G’s vast North American internal business unit and large retailer teams assigned to serve Wal-Mart, Loblaws, Costco, Shoppers Drug Mart & Amazon, among others, I help bring global brand focuses into fruition as retailer-facing executions.

Experience: I started my CPG career in brand internship roles at Reckitt Benckiser and Mondelez International before joining L’Oreal as an Assistant Brand Manager on the Garnier Fructis hair care brand. I had the amazing opportunity to work on established global brands like Air Wick and Wheat Thins, while also helping launch a brand-new one: Potato Thins. I soon found however, that my favourite parts of the job was the work I got to do with the sales teams and retailers so I made the switch to Key Account Management (KAM) at P&G. In my first role, I took select high-level strategies deployed by brand managers and executed them at my retailer, Shoppers Drug Mart, to grow my portfolio of brands.

Pia Ghosh, BCOM 2013

Position: Group Marketing Manager

Company: L'Oreal

Position Description: I lead a team of Brand Managers to drive market share growth for L'Oreal Paris Skincare in Canada. Together, we uncover data-driven consumer insights and evolve them into actionable multi-year brand strategies including innovation pipeline planning, national advertising initiatives including seeking out new forms of digital engagement, retailer development (including eRetail), and improving all consumer touch-points.

Experience: I began my career in Brand Management at L'Oreal four years ago as an Assistant Product Manager and have grown within the organization ever since. Highlights including bringing the L'Oreal Paris Skincare category back to growth for the first time in six years and leading innovative advertising campaigns including the brands first ever paid campaigns on Pinterest, Snapchat, Facebook Live, and Instagram stories.

Todd J Al, BCOM 2014

Position: Assistant Brand Manager

Company: Vega (DanoneWave)

Position Description: I have my dream job. I manage the strategy and development of products related to our emerging category opportunities. This involves a significant amount of strategic and data analysis in order to stay well ahead of competitors, while at the same time executing creatively in a very entrepreneurial environment, and in line with consumer trends. I am in effect the project champion that leads a cross functional team all the way from plan to international execution.

Experience: I began my marketing career as a channel marketing specialist at SMART Technologies, before landing an internship on the Brand team at Colgate-Palmolive. This unique combination of sales-focus and CPG experience allowed me to land a role at Vega on the Trade Marketing team, before transitioning to a brand management role on the RTD portfolio.

Company: Hasbro

Position Description: I lead the Hasbro Games portfolio, responsible for driving sales, profitability, and market share. I work to deliver strategic growth across our classic and new brands by building integrated marketing campaigns, managing key product launches, and ensuring alignment with retail partners.

Experience: My brand management experience spans across multiple industries - healthcare, food, and toys. I spent my early years in CPG at Maple Leaf Foods and Unilever. In the past three years I've been in the toy industry, building brands that are not only products, but also entertainment/licensing properties, such as Transformers, Nerf, and Monopoly.

Kelsey Ingham, BCOM 2014

Position: Brand Manager

Company: Chefs Plate

Position Description: I am responsible for leading strategic partnerships with brand partners and developing digital marketing campaigns at Chefs Plate. In addition, I am helping shape the Chefs Plate brand and what it means to Canadians.

Experience: MI began my career as a Brand Marketing intern at Kraft Foods (now The Kraft Heinz Company) and progressed throughout the organization to Brand Manager. I then transitioned to Chefs Plate, a food-tech startup, to develop my digital marketing skills and challenge myself in a faster paced environment.
