Commercial Property Manager

Location: Burnaby, BC

Formed in 1972, Transpacific is a locally owned property management company that  provides  highly professional, personal and customised services to clients, focusing on  management of commercial, industrial, retail and residential rental properties. We manage across the Metro Vancouver area. Our corporate culture is  friendly and collaborative. This position presents a unique opportunity for someone looking to learn and grow within the property management industry. The Property Manager will be responsible for working with landlords and tenants to ensure the successful and profitable management of the portfolio and maintaining the properties to a high level.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Preparing and managing both Operating and Capital budgets and operate within them
  • Oversee the day to day operations, leasing and financial reporting
  • Tender, select and administer service contracts
  • Building strong relationships with landlords, tenants and contractors
  • Dealing with tenant issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Managing and leading a team of building operations and administrative staff
  • Monthly / quarterly reporting –Including analysis of financial statements
  • Conducting building Inspections and ensure condition of properties a maintained to a high standard
  • Embrace company culture of service excellence and team work

Qualifications and educational requirements

  • Preference given to post-secondary education in real estate or business
  • Completed or pursuing an industry related designation ( CPM,RPA,RI)
  • Strong understanding of building systems
  • Strong decision making and critical thinking skills
  • Able to communicate effectively both in writing and orally
  • Ability to organise time efficiently and to manage tight deadlines
  • Hold BC Rental Property Management licence
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Experienced in budgeting and financial analysis


Although not mandatory, an ability to communicate in Cantonese or Mandarin would be a definite asset
This position allows the successful candidate to learn the key elements of property management under the mentorship of Trans Pacific’s  President
