Real Estate Coordinator - The District of North Vancouver

The District of North Vancouver is looking for an energetic, motivated team player to join our Real Estate group. In this challenging, regular full-time position you will perform real estate appraisals and negotiations as well as property management duties. Reporting to the Manager and in support of other staff members, your duties will include inspecting and valuating real property for the purposes of acquisition, sale and rental; preparing and evaluating appraisals and a variety of reports; negotiating and drafting agreements; and managing District properties including recommending and negotiating rates and overseeing maintenance and service.

You have sound knowledge of the principles and practices of inspecting and appraising real property; current property values and market trends; regulations and bylaws relating to subdivisions, zoning, building and other legislation affecting real property; and property management procedures and practices.

You have the ability to conduct field inspections; appraise and determine property values; prepare, analyze and review appraisals and a variety of other reports; negotiate agreements and assist with more complex negotiations; and perform property management tasks. You also have exceptional skills in building effective working relationships with outside agencies, interest groups, and other District departments.

Your knowledge, skills and abilities are supported by completion of a recognized real estate appraisal course or the Diploma in Urban Land Economics plus sound related experience, OR an equivalent combination of training and experience. A BC Class 5 driver’s license is required.

The pay range for this unionized position is $31.81 – 37.55 per hour based on a 35-hour work week.
