BASM 523 Management Consulting and Corporate Decision Support

The purpose of this course is to prepare students for entry into management consulting or a similar corporate role (e.g., business development, corporate decision support). This course will require students to use the knowledge and tools acquired in the MBA program and apply them in a variety of business cases. Upon completion of this course students should be comfortable with:
• Diagnosing a business program
• Using a structure to develop hypotheses on potential solutions
• Conducting analyses to prove or disprove the hypothesis
• Communicating findings and recommendations in an effective manner

This course is designed for students with the following objectives and interests
• Seeking a career in management consulting, corporate strategy, or corporate finance
