BAHR 520 Managing the Employment Relationship

This module provides an overview of the key aspects of forming and maintaining a work force: employee recruitment and selection, compensation strategy, performance management, discipline and fairness and retention and replacement of employees. These topics will be considered from the perspectives of employment law, the impacts of unions and collective bargaining and progressive human resources management. The course will conclude by analyzing the link between effective management of the employment relationship and business success.
