The application deadline for the MMOR program's September 2016 entry has passed - the next application deadline will be in February 2017. Please note that there is only ONE intake for the MMOR program. Students begin full-time classes every year in September. There is no mid-year intake, nor is there the option to complete the program part-time.
Candidates for the MM in OR program should have strong quantitative and analytical backgrounds in disciplines such as economics, engineering, mathematics, statistics or commerce. Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated business communication skills and the ability to work successfully in a team environment. Work experience is not required for admission to the program, but relevant work experience will be favourably considered during application review.
Admission to this program is competitive and applicants should have a very strong academic record. All candidates for admission must meet the minimum academic standards for admission to master’s level studies as governed by the University of British Columbia. For international applicants, please visit the minimum academic standards for international credentials. Either GMAT or GRE scores are required for all applicants. A minimum of three reference forms (at least one of which being academic) are also required.
English language proficiency test scores are also required from applicants who did not obtain a prior degree from an institution where the language of instruction was English. Acceptable English language proficiency tests include TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), IELTS (English Language Testing Service) - Academic, MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Battery), and PTE (Pearson Test of English) – Academic.
