At UBC Sauder’s Robert H. Lee Graduate School, we’re committed to finding students who are innovative, motivated, thrive on finding solutions and push back on the status quo. That’s why we have such a demanding selection process.

The UBC MBAN admits on a rolling basis so students are highly encouraged to apply early. International students are highly encouraged to apply before the final deadline to ensure ample time to allow for processing of study permits.

Review the Admissions & Finance and ensure you understand the components of the application.

Complete the online application and pay the application fee.

  • Try our Sample Resume to help you compose yours. Your resume can either be entered directly on your application or attached.
  • While working on your application, you can save your changes and revisit it until you are ready to pay the fee and submit the application.
  • A non-refundable $137.50 CAD application fee (MasterCard or Visa only) must be paid for your application to be processed.

Keep records of your application

A confirmation letter is emailed to you after you click "Submit this Application" at the end of the process. You may check the current status of your application online by logging back in.

Submit all supporting documentation

Applications are not reviewed by the admissions committee until all of the following required supporting documents is received in official form:

  • Transcripts/degree certificates
  • Letters of reference
  • GMAT/GRE
  • English Proficiency Exam

Note: All submitted application materials, including irreplaceable documents, become the property of the UBC Sauder School of Business. All documents must be submitted by May 15, 2018.

After Submission

Applications will be be carefully evaluated by the admissions committee.

  • Evaluation will be based on academic records, Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) scores, full-time work experience, essays, & letters of recommendation.
  • All candidates being seriously considered for admission will be contacted by the Robert H. Lee Graduate School for an interview either in person or by Skype or phone.
  • Upon receipt of an offer of admission, you must submit a non-refundable and non-transferable deposit in Canadian currency, which is credited towards your tuition. Students are expected to be at the Orientation and the official start of the MBAN program on August 27, 2018.
