Part-time MBA in Kelowna

The UBC MBA Part-time Program in Kelowna offers Okanagan-based professionals a chance to obtain an awarding-winning MBA degree without having to relocate from the Okanagan region. It runs in tandem with the Vancouver-based program, which means you will learn from the same renowned instructors and benefit from the same curriculum as your Vancouver cohorts. Designed with working professionals in mind, the UBC MBA Part-time Program offers students access to an award-winning MBA degree in a Friday evening and weekend format over a 28-month period.

For the 10-month Integrated Core component, Kelowna students travel to Vancouver approximately every third weekend for classes. However, a majority of the learning in the Modules component is offered through videoconferencing at UBC Okanagan, with select modules offered face-to-face at UBC Robson Square.

You will learn from instructors who are at the forefront of management thinking and business research. Through your interactions with colleagues from both Vancouver and Kelowna, you'll build valuable business contacts throughout your program.

"The UBC MBA Part-time Program offers a great opportunity to meet and work with people from a wide variety of cultural and business backgrounds. The many perspectives brought to class by students and instructors are refreshing, interesting, occasionally entertaining, but always educationally enriching."

Comprehensive Curriculum

The 28-month UBC MBA Part-time Program curriculum is comprised of five key components; the award-winning Integrated Core, Module Studies, the Career Development Program (CDP), The Capstone Conference and an Industry Project for a total of 52.5 credits. A general management degree, the UBC MBA Part-time program enables students to develop invaluable expertise across a broad range of key business subjects, such as financial management, business strategy, human resources and business development. Through case studies, lectures, guest speakers and team projects, students participate in course work that links business theory with business practice and enables them to apply what they learn before graduation. Students can also elect to enroll in all or part of the Pre-Core Program, a preparatory program that prepares incoming students for the demanding nature of the Integrated Core experience.
