Expand your options with UBC Sauder's connections.

When you're a UBC MBA student at UBC Sauder's Robert H. Lee Graduate School, you gain access to our networks and connections across the UBC campus, and around the world. Explore the following dual degrees offered in conjunction with our UBC MBA, and discover limitless opportunities exclusive to us.

UBC MBA/Yale Master of Advanced Management (MAM)

This distinctive dual degree program option offers qualified students the opportunity to earn, in less than two years, a UBC MBA and a Master of Advanced Management (M.A.M.) degree from Yale University.  Exclusive to students of member schools of the Global Network for Advanced Management, UBC MBAs will be the only MBA students from a Canadian school able to be a part of this program.

The program allows students to earn both degrees in one year and nine months, rather than two years and nine months if taken separately (13 credits are earned towards both degrees).  Students are first admitted into the UBC MBA, and must apply to each program separately.  Students will pay full tuition to each institution, and may be enrolled through 1 of 2 routes:

  1. Candidates apply to both the UBC MBA and the Yale MAM at the same time.
  2. Candidates apply to the Yale MAM after finishing their first year in the UBC MBA, upon meeting UBC's continuation requirements during the first year of the UBC MBA.

UBC MBA/Juris Doctor (J.D.) with the Allard School of Law

The UBC Dual JD/MBA is a four-year program administered jointly by UBC Sauder's Robert H. Lee Graduate School and the Peter A. Allard School of Law at The University of British Columbia. The dual degrees will prepare students for the practice of law and/or a career in business administration.

Students interested in the UBC Dual JD/MBA program are innovative, motivated, thrive on finding solutions, and have a desire to challenge the status quo, regardless of work environment. Enrolment is limited to students who have demonstrated academic excellence, and there is a rigorous selection process to find the right type of candidate best suited for this ambitious program.

The program allows students to earn their UBC MBA and their UBC J.D., saving six months of time, than if they were to enter the programs separately.  Students may be enrolled through 1 of 2 routes:

  1. Candidates apply to both the UBC MBA and the UBC J.D. at the same time.
  2. Candidates apply to the UBC MBA after finishing their first year in the UBC J.D.
