UBC Joint J.D./MBA

The J.D./MBA Program is a four-year program administered jointly by the Sauder School of Business and the Faculty of Law at The University of British Columbia. The joint degrees will prepare students for the practice of law and/or a career in business administration. Interested applicants are required to apply directly to both faculties indicating their desire to be considered for the combined J.D./MBA Program. Enrolment is limited to students who have demonstrated academic excellence.

Students are required to complete 86 credits in Law and 46.5 credits in the MBA program. The program of study must be approved by the Joint Degrees Committee. The J.D. and MBA degrees will be conferred at the completion of the joint program after all requirements for both degrees have been met.

Application for Admission
Application to the Joint J.D./MBA program involves applying separately to each of the MBA and the J.D. programs. Candidates are required to meet all of the admission requirements and deadlines for both programs. Candidates must be admitted to both the MBA and J.D. programs in order to be admissible to the joint degree program.

Faculty of Law
Visit the Faculty of Law web site for information and application instructions pertaining to admission to the J.D. portion of the program. The J.D. application deadline is February 1st.
