Effective management of people is fundamental to the success of any organization. Designed for new or aspiring human resource practitioners, this course addresses all nine components of the Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) Competency Framework that establishes the national knowledge and experience standards for professional certification.

The course emphasizes the practical aspects of human resource management (HRM). Over four full-day sessions, you will engage in activities that develop the specific competencies needed for becoming a Chartered Professional in Human Resources. At the end of this program you will be prepared to sit for the National Knowledge Exam and start your journey towards becoming a CPHR.

Course Format

The course will be offered over four successive Fridays. A textbook and online materials will be provided to prepare you for each session. In the classroom, you will be exposed to all areas of HRM through lectures, case studies and videos. Readings and between-class activities will supplement the learnings.
