Admission Process

Application Timelines
The UBC EMBA in Health Care Program commences in January 2012. Applications are accepted annually beginning in April for admission the upcoming year. The applicant deadline is September 30, 2011.   UBC uses a rolling admissions process in which applications are evaluated in the order they are complete. Therefore it is to your advantage to submit your complete application as early as possible before the application deadlines. We strive to inform applicants of our admission decision within 4-6 weeks of submission of a complete application.

Applicant Screening and Acceptance
The Admissions Committee carefully evaluates the entire applicant profile as presented through academic records, full-time work experience, essays, letters of recommendations and Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) scores  or equivalent, if nessecary. Each application is assessed independently from other applications.

Admission Interviews
All applicants will be interviewed prior to gaining admission to the UBC EMBA program. The admissions committee or EMBA Program Office will contact you directly for an interview.

Confirmation of Acceptance
Upon receipt of an offer of admission, students must submit a non-refundable and non-transferable deposit in Canadian currency. This deposit will be credited towards your tuition.

Deferred Admission
Students who have confirmed acceptance and paid their deposit may be able to defer participation for one year.

Application Materials
All submitted application materials, including irreplaceable documents, become the property of the Sauder School of Business and will not be returned.
