Student Testimonial:
When I first started DAP, I was at a complete loss. I was unclear about the difference between all the accounting designations, how to network, or even what exactly the CACEE form was. The DAP career workshop came highly recommended from past students, so I thought I’d give it a shot. It was definitely a smart move! Not only was I taught how to improve my networking abilities, I was also given many chances to practice my newfound skills. There were numerous networking opportunities with CA, CGA, and CMA professionals and I was able to make influential contacts. I learned about the “do’s” and “don’ts” in writing resumes, cover letters, as well as personal appearance, which proved to be invaluable during recruiting season. After attending the workshop, I was able to make an informed decision on which accounting route I wanted to take and how to succeed in doing so.
