Who Should Apply?

The program invites applications from bright, talented, creative and ambitious individuals who have earned a four-year undergraduate degree and are interested in pursuing the CPA designation. Applications for individual courses as well as for the full UBC Diploma in Accounting Program are welcomed.

 Criteria  Minimum Requirements

Academic Achievement

Four-year undergraduate degree or recognized equivalent from an accredited institution, with 65% average in the last two years of study.

Applicants from Canadian and American universities in the process of completing the remaining one to five courses of their undergraduate degree are welcome to apply and may be granted conditional acceptance.

As degrees differ widely between countries, a Bachelor and a 1-2 year Master program may be required to qualify for admission into UBC DAP. Please refer to the Years of Study requirement under each country’s profile for UBC Master’s program eligibility on the UBC Faculty of Graduate Studies website, as UBC DAP follows these guidelines for the required years of post-secondary study for admission eligibility.

English Language Proficiency

An English language proficiency exam, either TOEFL (Test of English as a foreign language) or IELTS Academic, is required for all candidates whose degrees are from a university outside of Canada or the USA in which English was not the official language of instruction.

Only tests written within 24 months prior to submission of an application are accepted. Official test results must be sent directly from the testing centre to the Diploma in Accounting office.
