Program Eligibility

The DAP seeks bright, talented, enthusiastic, and creative individuals committed to a high level of achievement in their academic, personal, and professional lives. DAP accepts candidates from diverse academic and professional backgrounds. To be granted admission to the program, applicants must satisfy the following requirements:

• Completion of a four-year undergraduate degree or its recognized equivalent at an institution that is recognized by UBC, with a minimum overall average of 65% or greater in the last two years of study (60 credits); and
• Proof of English language proficiency (please see admission requirements document for English language requirements).

*Interested applicants who have not completed a four-year undergraduate degree, but have pursued accounting-related interests and activities demonstrating intellectual maturity and competency in accountancy may qualify for admission as a mature applicant based on DAP mature applicant eligibility found in the admission requirements document. The DAP office reserves the right to determine whether or not an applicant can be classified as mature.

Application Deadlines

• Applicants who graduated from a Canadian university:
  • Deadline for courses beginning in May: March 1
  • Deadline for courses beginning in September: July 1
    
    
• Applicants who graduated from a university outside of Canada:
  • Deadline for courses beginning in May: February 1
  • Deadline for courses beginning in September: June 1
