Jonathan Easey
Ch'nook Program Manager


Jonathan is a researcher and program manager for Ch’nook. In his role, Jonathan leads the Ch’nook Scholars Program and Ch’nook Indigenous Business Education Program (IBEP) initiatives as well as spearheads Ch’nook’s research efforts. Jonathan also supports the overall strategic planning activities of the Centre through a research- and impact-based approach to program evaluation and future-state visioning. 

Prior to joining Ch’nook and Sauder in January of 2017, Jonathan worked in management consulting, where his responsibilities included in-depth industry research and crafting go-to-market strategies for his firm’s various industry practices. Jonathan has long been passionate about working with marginalized communities, having volunteered in myriad capacities with LGBT+, immigrant, and women’s rights organizations & initiatives as well as in the labour movement. 

Jonathan holds two degrees in Music Theory – a BA from Florida State University (2009) and an MA from the University of British Columbia (2012). Though a lifelong musician, Jonathan mostly enjoys performances from the audience these days and sits on the board of a Vancouver-based chamber music ensemble. In his spare time, he enjoys rowing, backcountry camping, and playing the harpsichord.
