How to Apply

Congratulations on deciding to apply for a UBC BCom at Sauder. Applying is easy, just follow this simple guide.

 New to UBC?

Apply online through youbc/Admissions. Once you submit your application to UBC, you’ll receive an email from the Office of Enrolment Services acknowledging receipt of your application. This will contain your student reference number, a list of the documents required to complete your application to UBC, and instructions on accessing the Student Service Centre.

 Current or returning UBC student?

If you’re applying for readmission or to transfer into the program, please submit a Re-Admission or Change of Degree Program form through the Student Service Centre.

Who processes my application for the BCom program?

The Office of Enrolment Services processes your application for admission, checks your required documents and calculates your admission average(s) and transfer credit (1).

The Sauder School of Business Undergraduate Office makes a decision after considering your academic average and your personal profile.

What if I don't get accepted? Can I talk to someone?

Yes! We encourage all applicants who are not admitted to our program to make an appointment to speak with one of our Admissions Officers. They will be able to advise you on why your application was refused and how to improve it should you wish to apply next year.

1Transfer Credit
Transfer credit is determined by the UBC Office of Enrolment Services. If you are admitted to the University, your offer of admission will include a list of your transfer credit. If you are admitted to the BCom program and you have already completed Commerce courses, please review your credit before you register for your classes to ensure that you do not register for a course that you have already completed. See detailed courses outlines for all Commerce courses.

2Disclosure of Information
All applicants to the Bachelor of Commerce Program at UBC are required to disclose information pertaining to attendance at all educational institutions. This includes all institutions attended prior to the submission of the application for admission as well as any institutions attended after the submission of the application for admission and prior to the commencement of classes at UBC. Failure to disclose any information regarding previously attended educational institutions is a serious offence and may result in the withdrawal of an offer of admission or suspension from UBC.
