UBC’s Sauder School of Business is the number one place to study business in Canada, according to a newly released ranking by Macleans magazine.

To assemble the ranking, Macleans drew on data from Elsevier, a world-leading publisher of academic studies, to assess the thought leadership of the country’s post-secondary institutions, as well as a reputational survey.

Introduced this year, Macleans reported that its 2016 rankings of the academic programs in Canada were designed to help students discover which schools can most effectively help them find success in their desired field. Business was one of ten categories schools were ranked under.

The University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management tied with Sauder for first place. In their 25th National Reputational Ranking, announced at the same time, Macleans also rated UBC as the second best university overall in Canada, out of 49 schools.
